About the artist

Wendy van Putten

I am a Dutch abstract artist currently living in Spain, where I find endless inspiration in the colours, textures and beauty of the nature around me.

I have been creating art for many years, and for the past six years I have been actively sharing and selling my work internationally. My art is mainly abstract and often combines acrylics with texture, sand, resin and other materials.

Nature is a constant source of inspiration for me — the way it changes, grows and finds its own paths. This connects closely with another subject in my work: life itself, and the many different paths our lives can follow.

Blue and green appear frequently in my paintings, reflecting my love of nature, water and landscapes, as well as the calm yet powerful feelings these colours can evoke.

For me, art is about creating something that makes you feel — something that catches your eye, stays in your mind, and perhaps tells a story of its own.
